Our steelmaking journey started in 2006, making mild steel ingots with one electric melting furnace and a capacity of 24,000 Metric Tons per Annum. Gradually, we have shifted away from the "run-of-the-mill" commercial grades, and now focus our efforts on making some of the best alloy steel in eastern India. Even in our MS days, we were known for producing the best quality, with our products getting first preference for export orders: while other players would compromise on their quality to add to their bottom-line, we stayed true to our purpose. This developed into what we call the "Alloy Steel Mentality". We focus on quality, not quantity, on customer satisfaction, not the bottom line.
Today, East India Holdings has an installed capacity of over 1 Lakh Metric Tons per Annum, all geared towards the production of alloy steels, making us one of the largest alloy steel units in eastern India.
